Great idea. The organ and how it works has a lot of mystery surrounding it -- even for those who hear it every week -- young and old alike.

Last year at our church, for Bach's birthday, we held a special family event as part of the all-day celebration of Bach's music. Our Minister of Music present a program that introduces children to this beautiful instrument. There were dozens of children of all ages who were captivated. After the event, dozens of children swarmed the organ bench up in the balcony to learn more and seemed genuinely thrilled by it. We have some fantastic photos of children sitting on the bench with others watching. We are repeating the program this year, hoping for more of the same!
